Birthparent Services
Making the decision to place a baby for adoption is an extremely difficult, emotionally-charged process. Working with birthparents was one of the first roles I had as a social worker. In my position as a facilitator I have worked with birthparents during their match and have also provided services after the adoption.* I am happy to arrange for online (via Zoom) meetings.
*Please Contact Me (email, call, text) for questions. Post-adoption fees are generally covered by the adoptive family or another adoption professional.
Post-Adoption Family Support
Even before working in the adoption field, I spoke with people about adoption. With nearly 30 years of personal adoption experience, over 15 years in the adoption field and more than 10 years as a birth grandmother....who better to turn to for guidance, advice and support when adoption issues or relationships need a little extra help.
(**Support services to potential birthparents are free)

Matching/Facilitator Services
Since registering as a Facilitator in 2018, Guylaine has worked with several clients, three of whom are now parents. Even in cases where I may not have made the direct placement of the baby, I can be actively involved in the process by working with the adoptive parents and/or the birthparent. I provide personalized ongoing support to prospective adoptive parents, can conduct a match meeting, write a hospital plan and/or post-adoption contact agreement, managed birthmother's expenses and provided support to birthparents during the match, as well as following placement.
